Project type: 2D PC game

Game genre: point-and-click cleaning game

Game engine: Unity 6.3

Time frame: 2 weeks

Core Mechanics — objects

  • Two interactable types: Trash (collectible, awards points, deducted if missed) and Doors.

  • Every trash item carries its own point value, letting individual rooms be tuned for difficulty via item count and placement rather than new mechanics.

Metrics

  • houses, each with increasing difficulty

  • Multiple rooms per house, connected via a door-based navigation system (no player character)

  • 6-tier ranking system.

  • Full online leaderboard integration

Core Mechanics — Scoring Formula

  • +points per trash collected

  • +points per second remaining (rewards speed)

  • -points per item missed (punishes incompleteness

  • +completion bonus (only if every item is collected)

  • Timeout applies an additional flat penalty and multiplier, failing to beat the clock is meaningfully worse than simply running out of time to be thorough.

  • A "Give Up" option intentionally forfeits the time bonus, so quitting early is never mathematically better than finishing.
