Project type: 2D PC game
Game genre: point-and-click cleaning game
Game engine: Unity 6.3
Time frame: 2 weeks
Core Mechanics — objects
Two interactable types: Trash (collectible, awards points, deducted if missed) and Doors.
Every trash item carries its own point value, letting individual rooms be tuned for difficulty via item count and placement rather than new mechanics.
Metrics
houses, each with increasing difficulty
Multiple rooms per house, connected via a door-based navigation system (no player character)
6-tier ranking system.
Full online leaderboard integration
Core Mechanics — Scoring Formula
+points per trash collected
+points per second remaining (rewards speed)
-points per item missed (punishes incompleteness
+completion bonus (only if every item is collected)
Timeout applies an additional flat penalty and multiplier, failing to beat the clock is meaningfully worse than simply running out of time to be thorough.
A "Give Up" option intentionally forfeits the time bonus, so quitting early is never mathematically better than finishing.
